32 teams took part in our 2018 Charity Golf Day at Tall Pines Golf Club. The sun shone brightly on one of our most successful days so far. Thanks to everyone's generosity we raised a record breaking, grand sum of £5000 which was presented by Lion President Roger Gibbins to Blind Veterans UK, accepted by Mark Pile and his faithful guide dog. With some intense competition the event was narrowly won by Team North Letherby

Yeo Valley Lions Club’s 5th Charity Golf Day

Cheque Presentation (1)

More than 130 golfers recently took part in the 5th annual charity golf day organised by Yeo Valley Lions Club at Tall Pines Golf Club. Played in ideal weather conditions, the match resulted in a narrow win for a team representing PIB Insurance Brokers of Bristol. At the end of the event Lion President Kevin Moore was able to present a cheque for £4,500 to David Wood representing the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, this year’s chosen charity. During the last 5 years the Yeo Valley Lions’ golf days have raised over £20,000, where recipients have included Guide Dogs for the Blind, Children’s Hospice South West and Weston Hospicecare. A note for golfers - next year’s event will take place on Thursday 26th April and teams of four will be more than welcome. Details will be on Yeo Valley’s website in due course. Special thanks to Tall pines golf course and butcombe brewery
