Welfare

The club seeks to serve those who are disadvantaged or have met hard times in the community, whether it be with assistance towards the provision of essential household items or physical help to overcome a particular problem.

Each case is considered on its merits and can follow a request from a professional working in the community or directly from the family involved.

​

Efforts are made to remember the elderly at Christmas, either living alone or in Residential Homes, with the provision of small gifts and a friendly visit.

​

Coffee mornings and a monthly lunch club are organised, again for our more senior citizens, enabling them to meet socially in a relaxed atmosphere.

​

As a recognised Dementia Friendly organisation we also support the local branch of the Alzheimer’s Society in the provision of coffee mornings and ‘Singing for the Brain’ sessions on a regular basis.
