Yeo Valley Lions exist to serve the local community, and all members who join, wish to give something back to assist where we can. However, it can't be all work and no play, so once a month a social event is arranged. These are available for all members and often their partners.
These have included quiz nights, skittle competitions, outings to local businesses and causes, days out, socials with other Lions clubs.
We have also recently held a car treasure hunt across the Mendip Hills.
Other events we have organized include a Boules night in a local pub, bowling at Yatton Bowling Club, visits to breweries and Cameron Balloons factory
Our aim is to also have some fun as well as working for the community, and all social events are funded by members' subscriptions only.
We would be pleased to hear from you if you think you have something to give, at the same time as having a little fun/social life

Yeo Valley Lions recently enjoyed a fascinating day out at Aerospace Bristol, home to the iconic Concorde Alpha Foxtrot—the very last Concorde to fly, which touched down at Filton Airfield in November 2003. The museum offered an inspiring journey through aviation history, including historic and replica aircraft, powerful jet engines, and a treasure trove of memorabilia from the renowned Bristol Motor Company.

Following our charity golf fundraiser for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC), members of our club also visited the GWAAC airbase near Almondsbury. The team gave us an eye-opening presentation about their life-saving work, and we toured the facilities to see first-hand where our donations make a difference.

Each year, Yeo Valley Lions marks the transition of leadership with our Annual Handover. During this special gathering, the outgoing President formally hands over the chain of office to the incoming President, and a new team of Directors is introduced. It's a time of celebration, reflection on the past year's achievements, and anticipation of what’s to come. The Handover is a proud tradition that highlights the continuity and strength of our club, supported by dedicated members and friends.
