Our playground at Kingston Seymour is much used by the local families who have children with special needs and by organisations for those who support them. The Playground is free to use for any family that is registered with us. There is just a one off, £2.50 admin fee to initially register.
RECENT MISEUSE
Regretfully, in recent weeks, there have been reports of unacceptable, anti-social behaviour at the Playground. which impinge not only on us, but also on our neighbour and landlord.
These include used disposable nappies found in hedges, both in the car park and in the Playground and, more recently, destruction of a security camera on our neighbour’s property, caused by a child in plain sight of the ‘responsible adult’ which was caught on the camera before it was destroyed. More generally, people should not be wandering around neighbouring property.
It is also clear that access codes have been given to non-members despite a condition in our membership documents about non-disclosure.
To be clear, the car park and area around it are not part of the Playground and should just be used for parking.
As a result, with effect from Monday 7th September, we regret that the entrance gate from the road will be permanently locked at 6pm sharp each evening and unlocked at 9am the next morning, during which time the playground will not be open for use by members
Notices to that effect will be put on the gate.
We will, of course, be keeping this situation under review.
